Philips CT/AMI R&D team is located in Cleveland, Haifa, Suzhou, Shenyang, Bangalore, and Pune with clear ownership and responsibilities for the Pune site. CT/AMI India Product Engineering group is responsible for CT and AMI product life cycle management.
Your role:
- Develop (parts and elements of) products, systems, and/or sub-system solutions according to the V-model that serve user and business requirements amongst others by applying internal and external research results and technology advancements while taking care of the total system as well as the inner workings of a design. In consideration of compliance, quality, and cost.
- Responsible for developing high-level and detailed designs in accordance with the product requirements and Philips reference architecture requirements and optimization, realization and integration, life-cycle management, and verification of (elements and parts of) products, systems and/or solutions.
- Combine existing and/or purchased elements and parts into (elements of) products, systems, and/or solutions.
- Finalize the design and integration, and write verification plans for the developed elements and parts. Tests, analyses, and verifies the quality of the design.
- Maintain an outside-in approach for the designs created.
- Responsible for delivering input in the planning process to the project manager. Draw up schedules and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way
- Ensures that documentation takes place according to the provided templates from the defined processes.
You’re the right fit if you have:
- Masters/Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in engineering design calculations for structural components
- Experience in the selection of standard components from supplier’s catalog to match design requirement
- Hands-on experience in CAD modeling and drawing preparation using any CAD tools (Creo, solid-works, etc.)
- Skilled in creating/reading/interpreting engineering drawings with proficiency in GD&T, Tolerance Stack-up, etc.
- Awareness of engineering materials and material standards (ASME, DIN) used in industry
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes for sheet metal, fabricated parts, plastics, casting, etc.
- Awareness of DFM, DFA, and DFMEA methodologies used in product design development
- Basic understanding of FEA
- Exposure to working in cross-functional team in a global environment
- Mindset to simplify and reach solutions with speed.
