Scope of Responsibilities
Scope of Responsibilities Provides support to assigned engineers in carrying out detailed engineering works and provide the necessary technical information for procurement in compliance with tender specifications/data sheets. Learn the subject while carrying out the support work.
Primary Duties
- Study engineering documents including the Technical Document Register (TDR), Data Sheets, review specifications, Process Data Sheets (PDS), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, the Design Basis and other relevant documents.
- Assist engineers in the preparation of technical inquiry requests (Inquiry Requisitions) to vendors, and participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Assist in the preparation of Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), review vendor drawings and documents. Attend vendor seminars when required.
- Assist and participate in organizing the issuance of engineering drawings and technical documents for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC’s).
- Participate in the preparation of Purchase Requisitions for the procurement of equipment and materials.
- Keep current through the study of related technical literature including quality procedures and guidelines.
- Perform related duties as and when directed by Direct Supervisor or Mentor.
Minimum Job Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering. Fresh from College or less than one year experience in any industry.
