Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated Trainee Associate Engineer to join our Reverse Engineering team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the development and improvement of innovative products. As a part of the reverse engineering team, you will be responsible for understanding the design and manufacturing intricacies of existing products and applying this knowledge to enhance Pentair’s family of products.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Product & Technology Research: Study popular products and technologies, exploring their applications to Pentair’s product portfolio.
  • Concept Development: Innovate new product concepts and applications for Pentair’s products.
  • Reverse Engineering: Create 3D models and 2D drawings by analyzing physical components using reverse engineering techniques.
  • Data Capture: Use various measurement tools and software to accurately capture and analyze data.
  • Product Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of existing products to understand design features, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineers from various disciplines to integrate reverse engineering data into product development cycles.
  • Technology Updates: Keep up with the latest advancements in reverse engineering technologies.
  • Documentation: Assist in creating technical documentation and reports.
  • Innovation: Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new product ideas.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • CAD Proficiency: Knowledge of CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is preferred.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing: Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in multidisciplinary engineering team projects.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or MATLAB is a plus.
