Role- Technical Writer

Location – Pune

• Within the scope of the documentation assignment, predominant supervision of documentation projects.
• Develop and coordinate structural design.
• Coordinate content and scope with the responsible departments.
• Selecting/determining the appropriate combination of texts, tables, photographs, drawings, and models (information mix) for the comprehensible/target group-oriented and structured documentation of products. Market conditions and competitive situation accordingly.
• Analyze target groups. Determine structure, layout, content, and presentation, considering national and international standards, norms, laws, and guidelines.
• Research and evaluate product data (technical data, diagrams, drawings, etc.).
• Further product information (product use, areas of application, product strengths/ weaknesses, etc.).
• Suggest appropriate illustrations for technical contexts.
• Illustration/graphics/photography (functional relationships, technical explanations, etc.) arrange for and evaluate. Ensure layout according to corporate design.
• Make sure the documentation is delivered in accordance to specification, on time and within budget.
• Compose texts or edit and coordinate with the responsible departments, modify if necessary.
• Adhere to technical terminology. Coordinate preliminary and final drafts with the relevant departments.
• Initiate and monitor defined review cycles for content preparation (technical issues, proofreading, etc.).
• Initiate and monitor. Monitor defined quality standards and initiate measures. Ensure adherence to schedules and cost plans.
• Initiate or provide documentation data for further processing.
• Plan production deadlines, coordinate with appropriate departments and monitor.
• Carry out the release process, and initiate changes if necessary. Arrange and monitor translation of foreign languages and monitor.
• Comprehensive editorial support of the defined product series over the entire product life cycle
• Measures within the scope of the change, correction,
• Initiate and monitor measures within the scope of change, correction, product observation and discontinuation management.
• Ensure version management and archiving.

Qualifications/Education:

• Diploma in Engineering (Design or Mechanical).
• 2 year specialized course in content/technical writing.
• 3-5 years of experience technical writing in Food & Beverage or relevant industry
• Experience of working on projects in various cultures.
• Proven track record of having executed various complex projects/assignments with varying timelines in the area of the Food and Beverage industry.
• Use of MS Office tools
• Experience of working with outside subcontractors including mechanical and electrical fabricators.
• Knowledge of SAP MM (&PS)
• Knowledge in using an document management system (e.g. Docuglobe).
• Working experience/exposure with Manufacturing plants
• Ability and willingness to work in a multinational and interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to communicate effectively on complex technical / engineering information with internal stake holders, vendors and customers.
• Good communication in English and Hindi. Proficiency in Marathi/German will be an added advantage
• Attention to detailing and perfection.
