Position – Mechanical Design Engineer

Location- Bengaluru, India

Combine their knowledge of design, engineering, and manufacturing processes to create functional products, document the same and present to larger audiences – Primarily will be responsible for the Design and engineering of Injection molded components, composite panel designs [gfrp, SMC, etc], and Sheet metal design of charger components [Press brake, bending, folding operations],
Conduct tests in order to determine whether their products meet all requirements, then document the results
Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industrial and ergonomics and business standards
Use 3D/2D software to create models and drawings of products with efficient material selection and development process
Ensure end to end process of development including design, BOM creation, testing, and publishing final results
Organize and maintain existing engineering records Extensive knowledge of metal fabrication and sheet metal processes
Experience in system design, rapid prototyping, testing, verification, and commissioning
Collaboration with external as well as internal stakeholders such as tech, supplier, sales, and solutions teams
Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem-solve effectively.
Change Management Through ECR and ECR.

3+ years of design engineering experience related to electromechanical and mechanical products.
Proficient in Solid Works. (Proficiency in other 3D software is an added advantage)
Core experience in Sheet metal design and drawing. [Press brake, Punching, Bending, etc]
Experience in 3D Surfacing is required
Experience with FRP, injection molding.
Experience in Rapid Prototyping.
Working knowledge of GD&T per ANSI/ASME Y14.5.
Knowledge in performing tolerance stack-up evaluations.
Quick learner capable of working with a team.
Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to work with domestic and international technology partners, flexible hours may be required to participate in meetings with global teams.
Must have worked in the design department (R D) in good engineering industries.
Working knowledge of the complete product introduction cycle.
Good knowledge on Mechanical components and Strength of material.
Good knowledge of value engineering and cost reduction ideas on products.
Knowledge of design standards of Mechanical components.
Experience with the use of modeling tools using FEA, DFMEA tools would be an advantage.

Qualifications – B.E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
