Job description
PURPOSE OF POSITION Design & development of cable assemblies for PSBU
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Introduce, Develop and Maintain products for PSBU Cable Harness
- Understand VOC and convert them into Engineering Drawings & Specifications
- Prepare solid models, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare BOM to support Quote Process. Promote Molex alternatives wherever possible
- Prepare TAR to document the technical assumptions & deviations
- Manage requests for engineering samples from customer
- Release engineering drawings, specifications and other related documents
- Support AQP to ensure PPAP / PPEP / GPPAP /PSW are submitted based on customer requirement
- Participate in product concepts and proposal development reviews
- Participate in Design Reviews, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM
- Review Engineering change requests and manage the changes
- Prepare & participate in third-party product development audits
- Ensure compliance with all Molex policies & procedures in all areas
- Any other projects/work assigned by management
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Approve deviations w.r.to product specification
- Approve the First piece sample for sample room parts
- Approve Component FARs & Tooling FARs
- Approve child component specification during costing
Qualification: Engineering Graduate – Mechanical/ Electrical and Electronics Other Technical/ : Professional Qualification: :
Experience : 3 -5 years Post Qualification experience with min 3 years in PDE / NPI Knowledge of Product design and development processes Knowledge of ECN /ECR management system Hands-on experience in PFMEA & DFMEA (preferred) Hands-on experience in any design software (UG – NX preferred) Good technical communication skills Knowledge on wiring harness manufacturing process/mold DFM will be an advantage Knowledge on IATF16949 & VDA 6.3 standard requirements, pertaining to product development (Preferred) Knowledge on APQP / PPAP & other standard automotive OEM requirements (Preferred)
