About the Role

The engineer will be responsible for harness design using CAD software, ensuring compliance with project specifications and manufacturability to meet customer requirements. The role involves component reviews, resolving technical challenges, interpreting harness schematics, and managing the Bill of Materials (BOMs). Candidates must have proficiency in CAD tools and assembly techniques, along with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Utilize CAD tools (UG/NX, AutoCAD) within a Teamcenter environment.
  2. Understand automotive connectors and cables for effective harness design.
  3. Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes (molding, stamping, plating, and assembly).
  4. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during the design and production phases.
  6. Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and basic electrical testing procedures.
  7. Manage Bill of Materials (BoM) and Engineering Change Notifications (ECN).
  8. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have:

✔ Hands-on experience with SAP and Teamcenter.
1-4 years of CAD design experience.
✔ Expertise in UG NX (Unigraphics NX).
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (CAD Design preferred).
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✔ Ability to work in cross-functional teams on global assignments.
✔ Quick learning aptitude with a self-driven approach.

Preferred:

➕ Work experience in the connector industry or automotive domain.
➕ Familiarity with RF connectors and microwave components.
