Job description

Purpose of Position – New Product Development (NPD), Product Modifications (MOD), Legacy Product Maintenance / Sustenance Engineering, Product Design Transfers.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for working on NPD’s, MOD’s, Standard Product Options, Legacy product maintenance / Technical Support Projects on legacy products.
2. Follow Product Development Process (PDP). Collaborate with Peers, Product Management, Engineering Groups, Manufacturing Plants, Advanced Quality Planning (AQP), Application Tooling and Reliability Engineering.
3. Responsible for understanding and working towards meeting Voice of Customer (VOC) by closely working with Product Management.
4. Facilitate and conduct conceptual reviews, DFM reviews, DFMEA/PFMEA reviews, Design reviews etc.
5. Responsible for creating Product models and drawings, Product Specifications, DVPR, Tolerance stack-up, Test Summary, Application Specification etc.
6. In depth understanding of assigned product families.
7. Responsible for design changes (ECR’s and ECN’s)
8. Responsible for interacting with global manufacturing plants, review inspection reports and disposition decisions.
9. Understand, aim and achieve organization / department / self goals.

11. Responsible for working on CAD tools like NX/ECTR, Engineering change tools – SAP, presentation tools – power point, analytic tools – Microsoft excel etc.

Requirements & Skills

1. BE/ BTech/ ME/ MTech in Mechanical
2. CAD Proficiency: Siemens NX modules such as Modeling, Drafting, and Sheet metal. Basic knowledge of NX Expression.
3. PLM: ECTR.
4. CAE tools: Basic understanding of tools and their capabilities.
5. Knowledge of selection of plastic and/or metal-based on mechanical, thermal, electrical, and environmental applications.
6. Design conceptualization, development, and testing.
7. Understanding of Product Development Process.
8. Knowledge of Basic Electrical Engineering.

• Primarily responsible for the creation of SAP Material Master (Basic View and other views) for different material types and creating Bill of Materials (Engineering BOM and Production BOM) and Compliance check updates.
• Knowledge of vendor source lists and purchase info record creation will be an added advantage.
• Capable to read and analyze the drawings to update the BOM information in SAP.
• Responsible for supporting different divisions on these activities and focusing to develop centralized process

• Responsible for the design and development and modifications to CES (Connected Solutions Enterprise Copper and Fiber solutions for data Voice) products.
• Manages product modifications through the complete implementation process to develop designs that meet or exceed product performance specifications per internal Molex standards, industry standards, or customer specifications to a planned schedule.
• New Product designing introduction for the market to keep the product profile ahead by meticulously going through the full process and documentation with adequate testing and reporting.
• Position interfaces with Management, Operations, Product Management, Quality Assurance, sales, and customers as required.

Job description

• To plan and implement Quality system specific to the Incoming Quality process in line with organization QMS and Business objectives.
• To understand the customer-specific requirements of the organization and communicate the same to the supplier.
• To monitor and review the incoming product quality and work with the internal team /suppliers in addressing the concerns.
• Training and Development of subordinates in measurement and QMS.
