Job description
KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
- Provides assistance to the plant for opportunity studies and Expression of Need (CdC)
- Provides assistance in choosing the technical solutions
- Takes ownership of new equipment delivered by the Central Engineering Groups, including documentation.
- For large/complex projects, is in charge of the follow-up for the implementation of the non-process part. Contribute to the work floor safety instructions coming with the project
- Is the plant contact point for the central Engineering Group
- The quality system and the methods of his group are implemented (risk analyses, FMEA, design reviews, quality planning, DTE, treatment of NC, …).
- Validations (CI, RF, RC) are obtained after the phases of realization, installation, start-up, and development of the equipment made in collaboration with related metiers of the industry.
- Prototype projects managed by the process development teams are supported.
- “as built” drawings are up to date.
- Implements new modifications, tracks them, and provides feedback to the equipment referents
- For small projects, simple tasks, and maintenance work orders, is responsible for all studies and implementation. Contribute to the work floor safety instructions coming with the project
- Working with the Maintenance team, implementing obsolescence correction work for machines and site installations
- Provides Technical Assistance to Maintenance
Technical Knowledge expected: –
- Material selection for machine parts.
- Knowledge of machining, welding, sheet metal & standard structures for fabrication of equipment.
- Knowledge of GD&T, Surface Roughness, Heat & Surface treatment.
- Selection of industrial components based on customer requirements & OEM recommendations.
- Knowledge on machine safety devices, its Pl & Cat level.
- Knowledge of field devices like digital, analog, flow, and temperature sensors.
- Design Pneumatic & hydraulic circuits to represent all the elements and be able to define BOM.
- Knowledge of installation & machine geometry, Project management awareness in capital equipment deployments.
- Knowledge in Solidworks, AutoCAD/ equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of PLM software for equipment lifecycle management.
