Key Responsibilities
- Precision Design & Prototyping:
- Develop 3D models for medical imaging components using SolidWorks, ANSYS, or CREO, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA standards.
- Innovate in metal-to-nonmetal joining, surface coatings, and sterilization-compatible materials for MRI/CT subsystems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with global teams to transform concepts into manufacturable designs, optimizing for cost, reliability, and DFM/DFA principles.
- Validate prototypes through FEA simulations and design verification testing (DVT).
- New Product Introduction (NPI):
- Lead greenfield projects from architecture to production, adhering to Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt/Black Belt preferred).
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Prepare technical reports for IEC 60601 compliance and support CE/FDA certification workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (Specialization in Design/Tooling preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software (ANSYS Structural/Thermal).
- Knowledge of medical device lifecycle management and GD&T standards.
- Soft Skills: Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication abilities for agile global projects.
