Job Overview:
The Associate Process Designer is an entry-level position, and their work is completed with close supervision and support. They work within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adhere to quality guidelines. The Associate Process Designer should have basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process and appropriate licenses/training certifications.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Draft Process deliverables (PFD, P&ID, MSD, MDD, BFD, Hydro-test diagram, etc.) using 2D Software i.e., SPPID, AVEVA, AutoCAD & MicroStation, as well as database entry and report extraction
- Obtain and maintain detailed knowledge and skills for the relevant 2D software applications
- Utilize 2D software for the production of Process Engineering deliverables (Block Flow Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, etc.)
- Ensure that the Process Engineering deliverables are prepared according to the drafting guidelines, job notes, and project specifications/requirements, (P&ID) design instructions
- Facilitate data entry into database applications like SPPID and AVEVA
- Back check own drawing before releasing it for back check by the assigned person
- Review the quality of the database of own drawing before releasing it for back check by the assigned person
- Ensure effective management of change
- Communicate what is missing or what is unclear with the process lead or P&ID coordinator and resolve the issues
- Diligently report the status of own drafting work
- Show flexibility and ensure proper hand-over with regards to:
- The replacement of colleagues during illness and holidays
- The provision of assistance to other colleagues with heavy workloads (also other projects)
- The managing/learning of current/future working methods and new software applications
- Responsible for the application of Environmental Policy and Procedures within their area of responsibility
- Show flexibility and ensure proper hand-over with regards to:
- Adequate knowledge of relevant IT systems
- The replacement of colleagues during illness and holidays
- The provision of assistance to other colleagues with heavy workloads (also other projects) when possible/desirable
- The managing/learning of current future working methods and software applications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- High School graduate with a diploma in Process, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Design, or Drafting in a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Entry level to less than 3 years drafting and/or design
- Minimal required English knowledge: B2
- Basic knowledge of 2D (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation) drafting systems and other drafting software, willingness to learn drafting in various software packages like SPPID and AVEVA
- Able to work independently
- Basic working knowledge of English, both oral and written
