Job Overview
The Associate Piping Designer role is an entry-level position with a focus on supporting the design process through drafting and model creation. Under close supervision, the designer adheres to defined procedures and quality standards, gaining hands-on experience in 2D/3D design and plant modeling. This position is ideal for a proactive learner ready to build technical skills and work within a collaborative team in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Drafting:
- Assist in creating detailed, high-quality drawings and deliverables with clarity and constructability.
- Support in developing 2D drafts, 3D models, and plant design.
- Adhere to project-specific standards and design specifications.
- Project Familiarity:
- Gain an understanding of the Project Scope of Work, schedule, and inter-discipline requirements.
- Maintain awareness of activities, progress, and any concerns, communicating these to senior designers.
- Technical Skill Development:
- Learn and apply technical skills in areas like plant design and 3D modeling under senior supervision.
- Utilize analytical skills to solve standard problems based on operational procedures.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with Designers and Engineers.
- Liaise with the Lead Piping Designer and Department Manager to ensure consistency in work progress.
Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate with a diploma in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 0-3 years in drafting or design.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of 2D CAD or other drafting software.
- Key Traits: Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, flexibility for business travel.

- Project: Lead Piping Designer
- Functional: Department Manager
