Job description

Role:

Design and development of Exterior Fascia Plastic Parts (Bumpers, Grilles, etc.), Roof Equipment like Roof Rails, Garnishes, Luggage Carrier, and Load Bars, etc.,

Responsibility:

Design & Development of Exterior Fascia Plastic Parts (Bumpers, Grilles etc.), Roof Equipment like Roof Rails, Garnishes, Luggage Carrier, and Load Bars etc.,
Experience should include the Preparation of 3D Models and drawings.
Checking Feasibility w.r.t Regulations, Manufacturability and assembly, engagement with CAE team, and taking
Countermeasures, confirming testing performance, resolving issues, etc. Weight & Cost Management.
Layout / Packaging, Master Section Creation & finalization and Detail Part / System Designing, BOM Handling, Cost & Weight Management.
Understanding of Vehicle / System Level Testing and Evaluation.
Design Reviews / Problem Solving through Root cause analysis & countermeasure planning.
Understanding of Raw Materials, Manufacturing Processes & Tooling concepts, Regulation & provisioning of the same in design.

Desirables:

Understanding of Manufacturing Processes & Techniques for Weight reduction & Cost Control i.e. Teardown, Benchmarking, VAVE etc.

Competency Requirements:

Technical/Functional:

Proficiency in CAD software, Preferably Unigraphics (NX)

Behavioural:

Effective Communications & Presentation Skills / Leadership Skills / Team Player
Conflict Resolution / Project Handling / Coordination

Others:

Should be aware of latest automotive trends in technology / weight & cost management.
Open for Overseas Training/ Work Assignment (1~2 Years)
Understanding of Japanese Language is an added advantage.
Hands on Experience in Thermal & Strength CAE and CFD will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification:

BE / B. Tech / M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
