Job description
Job Profile
- DMU Study and BIW process planning for DP trial execution.
- Prototype welding jig concept making and jig development through supplier.
- Sourcing (RFQ, Negotiation, Target Cost, PO) of Welding jigs.
- BIW inspection and countermeasure for meeting accuracy target.
- Sheet metal parts inspection and holding fixture concept making.
- Layout and facility planning.
- Create extensive processes and sustainable check sheets for part inspection and quality checks
Competencies
Essential
- Sound understanding of passenger vehicle construction and quality requirements.
- Knowledge of welding processes and a general understanding of the machining process
- Knowledge of welding jigs and fixtures for spot welding operations.
- Knowledge of inspection processes of sheet metal parts and BIW (like CMM/Laser scanning)
- Knowledge of part drawings, Tolerance stack up, basic GD&T, and SES quality standards
- Basic UG/CAD skill
Desirable
- Good communication skills, interaction with internal customers and suppliers
- Project management, execution, and monitoring skill
- Quality management system (ISO) knowledge
Work Experience
- 3~5 years Experience in the Automobile Industry (Passenger Vehicle),
- Design and development of welding jigs for BIW Manufacturing and Quality Control
Education Qualification
B.E. /B TECH (Mechanical Engg/Automobile/Production/Industrial)
