Job description

Job Purpose

Mechanical Maintenance Associates is primarily responsible for carrying out routine scheduled maintenance activities in line with the Mars food safety & quality standards for maintaining Asset health and equipment uptime. The job also involves coordinating with the internal & external stake holders for carrying out the job smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Condition monitoring of equipment for defects such as breakage and excessive wear &Tear.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery to keep the centerlines.
• Responsible to uphold and maintain the food safety and quality systems and documentation.
• Attending Breakdowns, identifying the root causes, documenting the failure, circulating the learnings, and eliminating the same failures in the future
• Spare identification, area-wise segregation and Coordinate with the store for the right spare availability all the time
• snag and punch list closure on time
• Keeping track of spare inventories and all the action trackers (actions from DRR, CPs, RCAs… etc..) and escalating for any risk of delay in the closure.
• Ensuring basic tools and machinery are in working order by performing regular inspections.
• Active participation in VL, Kaizen, and MSE pillar programs and supporting the team on the execution
• Responsible for tracking your performance against the aligned objectives and targets.
• Responsible for delivering the aligned KPIs of the factory and escalating any risk.
• Keeping 100% compliance with all necessary SSW validations, and training to execute day-to-day activity.
• Attending Breakdowns and analysis with relevant TPM tools
• Carrying out Preventive and Predictive checks for improving Asset health
• Cross-functional interaction with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth work handover.
• Align with Mars food/work safety standards & quality standards.
• Maintaining the documentation for the shift activities
• Spares Identification and Coordinate with store for right spare availability
• Subject expertise on the Mechanical works
• Understanding Operational issues and training on the same
• Coordinate with contractors & vendors for Jobs required in Asset health checks.
• Collaboration with Safety, Food safety, and Other Stakeholders
• Ensure the adherence of job to Sustainability, HACCP, GMP GHP, FSSAI requirements.
• The most preferable choice to have very good experience in Packaging machines.

Context and Scope

The scope of this position involves handling the mechanical maintenance activities in a shift. It involves coordination with various internal stake holders such as Manufacturing, Safety, Quality Etc. to perform the activities. Compliance of the job with the safety/quality standards is one of the key requirements. It also involves the ability to maintain a balance between meetings, day-to-day issues, and completing daily planned activities. The scope involves further, an interpersonal and communication skill, good planning & organization, and problem-solving capability.
