Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:

Engine Design and Development:

• Design, develop, and optimize gasoline engines for diverse applications, including automotive, industrial, and off-road vehicles.

3D Modeling and CAD Design:

• Utilize advanced CAD tools like CATIA, SolidWorks, and Creo to create detailed 3D models of engine components and assemblies.
• Ensure designs meet performance, durability, and safety standards.

Thermal and Fluid Dynamics Analysis:

• Conduct thermal and fluid flow simulations to enhance engine cooling, combustion efficiency, and exhaust systems.

Performance Testing:

• Lead engine testing to validate performance metrics, including power output, fuel efficiency, emission compliance, and durability.
• Collaborate with the testing team to execute real-world and simulation-based evaluations.

Emissions Compliance:

• Develop solutions to adhere to global emission standards (EPA, EURO).
• Work with environmental compliance teams to ensure sustainable and legally compliant engine systems.

Component Integration:

• Integrate engine components such as fuel systems, turbochargers, pistons, and camshafts to optimize overall engine performance.

Troubleshooting and Failure Analysis:

• Investigate design flaws, failures, and performance issues.
• Propose and implement solutions to enhance reliability and durability.

Collaboration:

• Work with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, material scientists, and manufacturing units, to ensure smooth engine production and integration.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive records of designs, simulations, test results, and modifications for traceability and compliance.

Cost Optimization:

• Design cost-effective solutions while ensuring quality and performance.
• Support material and component sourcing to achieve cost efficiencies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in gasoline engine design or related automotive/engine development roles.
• Proven expertise in engine design, testing, and performance optimization.

Industry Knowledge:

• Familiarity with CAE tools and simulation software (CFD, FEA) for engine analysis.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in CAD software like CATIA, SolidWorks, or Creo.
• Strong understanding of gasoline engine fundamentals, thermodynamics, and combustion processes.
• Knowledge of material selection and manufacturing processes for engine components.
• Awareness of global emission regulations and performance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Experience:

• Hands-on experience with engine development projects, especially with emission compliance and testing.
• Collaborative experience with interdisciplinary teams.
