Job description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Mechanical development for automotive trim, DAC, BIW, and GSM.
2. DFMEA and DVP&R for Trim, DAC, BIW, GSM parts & systems.
3. Study of CAD data to understand the interfaces.
4. Functional testing and durability testing of BIW
5. Failure analysis of trim, DAC, BIW, GSM parts & systems components and preparing the robust validation plan
6. Exploring and evaluating value engineering proposals.
7. Preparing the DVP for trim, DAC, BIW, and GSM parts on the vehicle level, system level & component level.
8. Coordination with supplier & vehicle testing teams for DVP at the component level & vehicle level respectively.
9. Correlation studies of simulations with actual components. Sealing investigations at all vehicle interfaces, Achieving target CFM values of body leakages.
10. Physical Validation Gauges & Fixtures (Check Fixture buy off)
11. Establishing and confirmation of Dimensional Quality at Plants & Suppliers.
12. Co-relation studies of measurements on CMM / masters & on the body.
13. System level gaps & flushness. Investigations in case of deviations.
14. Investigations of trim, DAC, BIW, and GSM aesthetic defects raised in Nova C or the design team
15. Participation in PFMEA of vehicle assembly to protect the functionality of trim parts & their life.
16. Benchmarking of detailed design parameters or material to take quality decisions in case of failure, or deviation, in existing design.
