Job description
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Engine emission hardware selection (FIE System, EATS System) and Combustion Development
- Engine calibration to meet performance & emission targets considering TREM IIIA, TREM-4, Stage-5 & Tier-4 Emission Norms.
- Vehicle calibration to meet Drivability & Noise Targets
- Conduct/formulate the required DoE (Design of Experiments)
- Mechanical and CRS FIE system calibration
- DPF calibration – Passive, Active Regeneration
- DPF Soot Modelling, Delta pressure Modelling
- Knowledge on DSM, NCD, PCD for Stage-5, Tier-4 & TREM-4 Emission Norms.
- Experience of dedicated data evaluation tools such as ETA,s INCA, AVL Concerto, CAMEO
- Coordination and completion of the engine build by meeting the quality and timelines
- Coordination with functions in the manufacturing plant for completing the build in different stages of the project
- Coordination with the component development team to ensure the part availability on time to ensure the builds
- Coordination with the testing team to conduct the tests (calibration / functional) to execute the project
- Coordination with emission regulation nodal agencies to ensure the legal compliance
- Coordinate and execute the troubleshooting of vehicle (field/ customer) issues
Experience
2 to 6 Years
Industry Preferred
Automotive, FIE supplier, or Engine development consultancies
Qualifications
BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech
General Requirements
- Mechanical FIE system calibration
- CRS calibration with Bosch/Delphi softwares
- EMS/functionality skills
- Problem trouble shooting and root cause investigation
- Understanding of tractor operations and applications
- Understanding of the component development process
