Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
- Diesel Common Rail Fuel Injection Systems Optimization:
- Optimize injection control strategy, rail pressure control, exhaust after-treatment systems, vehicle startability, drivability, and emissions for current and upcoming engines.
- Perform vehicle testing to analyze performance.
- Feasibility Studies:
- Collaborate with suppliers to assess hardware feasibility (e.g., FIE systems, combustion systems, turbochargers) and guide project development.
- Issue Analysis & Resolution:
- Perform root cause analysis using problem-solving techniques like Global 8D, deviation analysis, engine mapping, or development of multidimensional input-output maps.
- Emission & Performance Trials:
- Ensure robustness, consistency, and homologation for engines through type approval completion.
- Quality Processes & VAVE:
- Contribute to value analysis and value engineering (VAVE) ideas while adhering to quality standards.
Experience:
1–5 years post B.Tech/B.E in a relevant field.
Industry Preferred:
- Automobile OEM (Engine Calibration)
- BOSCH
- Delphi
Qualifications:
- Minimum B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
General Requirements:
- Strong communication skills
- Hands-on experience with tools like INCA, VISU, MATLAB, Uniplot, Python
- Knowledge of engine combustion, emissions, and after-treatment systems like LNT/DPF/SCR/OBD (preferred)
- Analytical, collaborative, bold, and agile with a willingness to learn new technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and team-working capabilities
