Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Process Issues/Quality issues Resolution related to gear manufacturing.
- Awareness and knowledge of latest technology changes, cutting tool materials and geometries.
- Conduct straining on tools and tooling on latest trends.
- Identification of Tool life improvement projects or replacement of tool with alternate technology.
- Defect identification and root cause analysis.New model Machining set up , line setup and ramp up.
- Capacity improvements through debottlenecking and improvements.Rejection system-implementation of zero rejection concept.
- Revenue cost reductioninitiatives for implementation and practice Improvement idea generation and implementation.
- Interaction with all support functions and concern resolution with the help of CFT.Generate Safe working culture.
- Develop improvement culture.
- Knowledge of quality systems and adherence through review.Implementation of TPM in Machining.
- Driving tool cost reduction, Power cost Reduction and productivity improvement projects.
- Benchmark best practices across other plants and industry for manufacturing excellence.
- Knowledgeable of QS 9000 , DCP, PFMEA, Control Plan.Drive Productivity through regular reviews for indicators like OLE, OEE

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- New Part development using APQP process
- Supporting R&D & Suppliers for performing Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for assembly (DFA) analysis and providing technical inputs to resolve DFM & DFA concerns during Product & Process development.
- Process panning (Process Flow design, PFMEA, Mfg Line layout ) & Quality planning (DVP, PV, MSA, SPC, PPM & Warranty sign-off, Safe Launch plan, Agreement of Inspection, Gauge Planning) for all New Part development to achieve with First Time Right & Everytime Time Right
- Identify the Fixtures, Tooling & Gauges (FTG) required for the development of the part /product to meet design& quality requirements.
- Establish & prove out of Tools, Fixtures & manufacturing process. Conducting Supplier process audits, Production Trial Run audit & PPAP Audit to identify Gaps and ensuring appropriate corrective actions.

- To maintain the Measuring Instruments, Accessories, Material handling equipment in good working condition.
- To maintain the safe working condition & good house keeping in the Department
