Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  • Support organisation of Off-road Drive Evaluations and Jury Evaluations
  • Contribute to ‘Fresh Eye’ reviews of Futuring & Gap Analysis work with respect to 4WD systems
  • Global competition analysis and futuring for all new vehicle programs involving 4WD systems
  • Conduct detailed vehicle evaluations of 4×4 capabilities of competition vehicles and identify areas of improvements
  • Collect off-road vehicle reviews and maintain data base for all competition vehicles.
  • 4WD system testing and objective data capturing
  • Hardware selection and finalization for 4 X4 system
  • Root cause analysis and resolution plan for field failures, validation/RGA concerns and closure in 4WD systems
Experience – 3 to 5

Industry Preferred – Automotive manufacturing and R & D

Qualifications
  • BTech (Mechanical)
Functional Competency
  • Novice Vehicle Evaluator.(Expert Off-road driving skills)
  • Vehicle Sub Systems understanding.
  • Understands New Product Development Process.
  • 4WD system functioning and development knowledge- Transfer Case, Differential Locks, Terrain Response systems, axles and suspension
General Requirements
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize

Job description

  1. Preparing Master Project Plan, list of related system level & functional level activities, work package plan, resource plan & time plan and communicates to CFT members to ensure QCD of the project.
  2. Gateway tracking – Prepare / work out activity charts with dependent activities and work out efficient path, identify critical path, critical activity and resources.
  3. Co-ordinate with internal/ external agencies for Composite project ratings assessment of the projects.
  4. Support Project Owner and Project Leader on resource availability and facilitate & drive the process flow.
  5. Facilitate Engineering sign-offs, Design Reviews and management reviews.
  6. Prepare & monitor the project timelines in line with the project scope in consultation with all the stakeholders.
  7. Monitor & Track budget, cost, quality and delivery of the project and escalate the discrepancies to the superiors with probable solutions.
  8. Concerns resolution through continuous co-ordination with stakeholders.
  9. Risk analysis and mitigation. Proactive role in flagging the potential risk areas and ensuring that a mitigation plan is made available”
