Position: Engineer – Engines AD Diesel

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
- Electrical Architecture: Understand electrical architecture for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Electric Vehicles (EV).
- Battery Pack Design: Conceptualize, design, and develop HEV/EV lithium-ion battery packs.
- BEV Layouts: Possess know-how of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) layouts.
- BMS & Components: Knowledge of technical details for Battery Management Systems (BMS), Development Validation Plan (DVP) specifications for suppliers, and e-drive components/systems.
- Control Algorithms: Familiarity with battery controls, State of Charge (SOC), State of Health (SOH) estimations, cell balancing, life optimization, and safety-related controls.
- ISO Compliance: Understand ISO 26262 compliance for BMS and DFMEA.
- Testing & Benchmarking: Conduct functional testing and system/component benchmarking.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work with design departments, suppliers, and related agencies for design and development activities.
- Calibration Tools: Experience with calibration tools like INCA and Vector tools.
- Vehicle Systems: Basic knowledge of EV systems, including DC-DC converters, onboard chargers, electric motors, and high-voltage batteries.
- Validation: Develop proper test cases for component, system, and vehicle-level validation of battery and e-drive components.
Critical Skills for the Role:
- Battery Technology: Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery technology.
- E-Machine Integration: Experience with e-machine integration in EVs.
- Battery Pack Design: Expertise in lithium-ion battery pack design and testing.
- Safety Standards: Knowledge of safety and testing standards for lithium-ion batteries and e-drive components.
- BMS Calibration: Basics of BMS and calibration, including core functions like SOC and SOH algorithms.
- Lithium-Ion Cells: Understanding of lithium-ion cell characteristics, types, and basic properties.
Experience:
- Freshers or professionals with up to 5 years of experience (even if the experience is not in the relevant field).
Industry Preferred:
- Open to candidates from various industries, freshers included.

- Educational Requirements:
- BE or ME in Electrical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
