Job description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Product feasibility and Process Flow analysis and study for BIW and feedback to R&D.
  • Simulation through Delmia / Tools configuration finalization. Assembly process planning of BIW in digital mfg.
  • Assembly fixture design, designing small tools using concept knowledge and sequence.
  • Technical Analysis and Comparisons amongst Different Suppliers..
  • Implementing Global Manufacturing Strategies, especially BOP and BOE.
  • Preparing the manufacturing strategy for the development of new products.
  • Capital budget preparation and optimizing the budget based on Product assumptions and Process Synergies.
  • Understanding of the New Product based on PALS and PDB. Conducting simulation studies to give real-time feedback to Designers.
  • Conducting Virtual builds to check the Issues upfront based on the Packaging.
  • Lead role in Developing and Establishing the Process planning to Activities DCP Documentation.
  • Ensuring the Digitalization and Standardization of all the Project Activities.
  • Ensuring all the MPDS – Gateways requirements (Manufacturing Related requirements).
  • Developing Engineering Specification Test facilities and Smooth Ram-up of the Required volume/shift.
  • RFQ/Scope Preparation and Supplier Technical Evaluation for Equipment. Prepare and follow PFMEA/MFMEA of Equipment.
  • Coordinate with supplier and Plant (Customer) to eliminate new equipment installation and commissioning Issues.
  • It should be flexible for the implementation of the project at multiple plant locations.

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical / Automobile 
  • Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical / Automobile 
  • Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical / Automobile

General Experience

  • 2 to 9 years of experience in TCF Manufacturing Assembly, BIW Production line.
  • The experience in process knowledge, assembly, fixture design, and manufacturing strategy will be invaluable in driving efficiencies and innovation within the automotive industry.
