Position – Assistant Manager SQE-Engine Proprietary

Job description

• Participation & Coordination of concern resolution with Field, User plant and in-house for proprietary critical parts (like FIE System, Turbocharger, Water Pump, Oil pump, Chain timing/belt drive system, etc.,)
• Basic knowledge of Engine working principles, Emission & Engine performance.
• Troubleshooting of engine proprietary parts and independently drive action at supplier end
• Ensure that the lessons learned from product families are shared with the platform team (COE, CDMM, etc.) for new product development as input for the prevention of repeated known issues
• Provide support and involvement in new product development improvements through early involvement into product development Process and completion of joint PPAP with CDMM
• Drive collaboration with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes and deploy processes and tools.
• Monitor supplier performance measurement, supplier audits, and Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR), etc.
• Develop and ensure implementation of process norms for management of suppliers by
• Verification of products and services from the suppliers.
• Evaluation of the performance of suppliers and monitor the improvement plans
• Enhance technical capabilities of vendor through systems and knowledge upgradations
• Review, Analyze and implement results of quality audits at supplier end

Qualifications & Skills

• BE/B Tech (Mech)/Prod
• Manufacturing process knowledge & part application knowledge of engine Proprietary Parts, well conversant with parts and process knowledge like FIE System (Rotary Pump, CRDe, MPFI) Turbocharger, Water Pump, Oil pump, EGR Valve, Chain timing/belt drive system.
• Conversant with Engine and engine Proprietary parts failures.
• Engine knowledge is Mandate & Vehicle interface components knowledge will be added advantage
