Job description
- Engineer Procurement Indirect parts, Scrap Disposal.
- Procurement of Indirect Parts -Paints, Chemicals. FOS items, Packaging material, PR based maintenance spares timely ensuring the smooth running of production. Key coordinator for Scrap disposal ensuring Statutory & Organizational requirements. Ensure Q, C, D deliverables. Identify & plug NVA and losses.
- Understand Job requirement, Define Job Rule, Get it Approved & Ensure Adherence
- Maintenance MIS & records & take up improvement projects to improve processes.
- Understanding & Complying with Statutory & Organizational requirements periodically for procurement & disposal of different Scrap items.
- Define, get approved & maintain Inventory levels within levels for various parts procured.
- Capacity mapping & sign-off with suppliers for the timely supply of material w/o Excessive inv accumulation.
- Ensuring Logistics & Packaging improvements
- Develop & ensure supplier engagement by being sensitive to their requirements of timely payments.
- Identify & Implement Cost Saving Opportunities
- Ensure timely material availability with planning & co-ordination with suppliers
- Maintaining up-to-date MIS to help identify gaps & attending the same.
- Understanding Quality issues & jointly work with QA to address the same.
- Monitoring schedule Adherence, gaps & actions – Weekly
- Ensure inventory within defined levels. Discuss challenges – Weekly
- DR for EHSMS, OSHAS, GSCM and similar practices – Monthly
- Monitor consumption wrt BOM, Identify Gap, Work with Concerned to Correct – Weekly
- Escalate concerns timely & follow up for resolution – Ongoing
- Ensuring material availability within prescribed limits to cater to smooth production requirement
- No. of vehicles lost per day due to respective department
- Adherence to Supply Chain Management Improvement
- No. of components made DOL in a year
- Quality Standard Adherence for Domain Component
- Rejection as a %age of receipt quantity
- Compliance to Statutory / Organizational Requirements

Qualification & Skills
- Diploma (Mechanical / Production) or B.E
- Diploma – 3 to 5 years in Auto Supply Chain
- BE – 2 to 3 years in Auto Sector
- English & Hindi
- Travel Frequency – Daily
- Exposure in Indirect procurement, Packaging knowledge, Logistics working
- Negotiation skills, Interpersonal skills
