- Job Description:
B.E./M.E with 4 -5 years of experience from Reputed institution
Structural durability of Mechanical Systems/ components, Expertise in Fatigue assessment techniques (LCF/HCF) of industrial and aero gas turbines.
Sound knowledge and experience in performing Thermo Mechanical Fatigue, Thermal Creep and wear analysis, vibration analysis of gas turbines.
Expertise in using FEA tools like Ansys Workbench/Classic / Fatigue tools etc for solving complex non-linear FEA, Multiphysics simulations related to structural durability of gas turbines
Sound understanding of gas turbine system functional/design knowledge.
Experience in complex validation projects/programs
Principal Accountabilities (A)
Technical Management
Understands requirements
- Understands and interprets the technical requirements as per the project specification and checklists
- Ensures to acquire awareness of local and international standards as well as those required by the customer
Skill development and contribution
- Keeps abreast of the technical skills/knowledge required for the role and shares knowledge with the team. Provides inputs to enhance team productivity
- Responsible for contributing to presentations, demonstrations to the potential customers and for publishing technical papers under the guidance of Project Lead/Project Manager
Technical solution generation
- Responsible for analysing the issues/challenges in day-to-day tasks and propose/support development of solutions in consultation with Project Lead/Project Manager
- Accountable for providing error-free deliverables to agreed specifications, within the assigned time/effort estimated/planned
Project Management
Project planning and execution
- Responsible to manage, maintain and monitor the assigned task according to stipulated standards, practices and milestones
- Responsible to prepare and execute QC checklists
- Ensures proper communication/escalation to PL where applicable, like scope change etc.
Project review and reporting
- Responsible for timely and prompt progress reporting to line manager as per project plan
- Participates in quality audit/peer reviews as required by the company/project policy
Risk identification
- Accountable to ensure proper communication/issue escalation as and when required
- Responsible to conduct root cause analysis, manage and mitigate the risks in consultation with PL

- Contributes to best practices, lessons learnt and knowledge management. Assists implementing them in team for productivity improvement

- Responsible to understand, meet quality standards for respective disciplines as required by QMS/project and ensures compliance with minimal supervision
- Ensures quality compliance by performing quality check of work done by people reporting to this role. Improves overall quality from lessons learnt from the previous projects
People Management (In case handles team)

- Responsible for providing regular feedback and inputs to Discipline Lead on the performance of people reporting to this role
- Responsible for supervising day-to-day activities of the team and for coaching team members in technical and domain areas

- Proficient in mechanical parts design, modelling, simulation and finite element analysis tools

- To be able to design solutions independently using relevant tools for the given requirements
- Possesses verification and validation skills using relevant tools
- Follows latest technology trends by participating industry seminars and workshops and by exploring new tools
