Position – Mechanical Design Engineer

Job description

Experience in product design methodologies (Understanding of FMEA requirements, basic FEA knowledge, cost + quality awareness) coupled with strong hands-on CAD skills in Sheet metal, Welding, Material selection, tolerance stack up, Pro-piping & hose routing 3D & 2D in-depth knowledge.
Mostly focus on project-specific design Customization for Nacelle
Understanding the scope & acting accordingly to execute that
Align concept and detailed design with interfacing modules and submodules
Obtaining, modifying, and optimizing CAD geometries to match the requirements
Deliver 3D, 2D, and design BoM with the right quality
Drive design and design changes through our Change Management system
Collaborating with the Engineers, Project Managers & all other stakeholders working in your area
Create and maintain documentation for the design
Deliver the design within the agreed timeline
Support to meet the constant challenge of designing larger and more complex WTG structures

Master’s / Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering / Structural Engineering / Aerospace/ similar fields
Minimum 2+ years of relevant Wind Turbine experience in design & development of dynamic mechanical systems, CAD (CREO) & PDM (PDM Link)
Engineering Change Management (ECM)
Knowledge in ISO standards related to mechanical component design, Systems engineering experience

Quickly pick up on the array of software tools and processes we use in our workflow
Have a solid understanding of mechanical systems
Welding knowledge, sheet metal, and surfacing
Design process flow of manufacturing & assembly
Model new and change existing CAD models
Efficiently communicate with the Tech Lead, Project Managers & all other stakeholders
Succeed as part of a team, and it comes naturally for you to collaborate and share knowledge

Like to work with complex engineering problems and have a creative approach to new challenges
Experience with Creo and PDM Link, and Jira
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum)
