This designer will have the opportunity to produce pattern designs using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Must be responsible for designing Refrigeration and Air conditioning products, considering Cost, Manufacturability, Serviceability, Regulatory Compliance, CODE requirements & safety.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Marketing, Sourcing, Testing… etc..) to move products from design to manufacturing.
- Participate in DFMEA, PPAPs, DFMA & RCFA as required.
- Review of 2D/3D designs to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
- Lead and coordinate design reviews, ensuring approvals from all relevant cross-functional teams.
- Develop concept designs related to sheet metal and plastics using advanced design methodologies and techniques.
- Perform advanced detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies, and engineering change orders.
- Contributes design modifications to improve the quality and function of the product.
- Ensures that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.
- This role demands a high degree of flexibility and the ability to drive design activities with limited supervision.
Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Expert knowledge of SolarEdge/Teamcenter software techniques and tools, experience in sheet metal and tubing manufacturing (tooling and fixtures)
- Experience in PLM (SAP, Teamcenter..)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Refrigeration knowledge is a plus.
