Role Overview:

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Design & Detailing Engineer experienced in mechanical design, plant layouts, and equipment arrangements. This role requires proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD software to create and verify shop and fabrication drawings. As part of the design team, you will collaborate with detailing and modeling teams to ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• 3D Modeling & Design:
  • Create and modify 3D models using software such as CREO or SolidWorks.
  • Develop detailed General Arrangement (GA) and fabrication drawings for manufacturing and erection processes.
• Technical Drawing Review & Verification:
  • Independently review shop, fabrication, and erection drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks is essential; familiarity with Staad Pro is an advantage.
• Coordination & Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with the detailing/modeling team to address technical queries and clarify input details required for the 3D models and shop drawings.
  • Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines, taking ownership of schedule adherence.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Diploma in Engineering.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, CREO, and/or SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design.
  • Experience with Navisworks and Staad Pro is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, plant layouts, and fabrication drawing standards.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating within a team environment.
