Position Summary:

This role is responsible for performing process design and thermal engineering for Supercritical Boiler projects, involving proposal and contract design with a strong focus on steam generator systems. Working under limited supervision, the Process and Performance Engineer will lead engineering functions, provide on-site technical support, and contribute to project execution and completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Thermal Engineering Design:
• Develop and design steam generator systems, creating data sheets, process diagrams, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings to support proposal and contract requirements.
• Proposal and Contract Support:
• Generate accurate equipment and raw material estimates, create deviation lists, and ensure technical proposals meet all requirements.
• Perform economic studies for bids and assist in internal meetings to align project objectives.
• On-Site Commissioning Support & Training:
• Provide training and technical support to commissioning teams to facilitate successful contract completion and system startup.
• Engineering Leadership:
• Guide and mentor junior engineers by providing instructions and solving technical challenges, ensuring project schedules, technical quality, and engineering hours are effectively managed.
• Compliance & Standardization:
• Implement and adhere to national and international engineering standards, codes, and procedures to govern the design of process controls.
• Project Scope Management:
• Identify and process project changes that impact contract scope and margin, ensuring full compliance with client specifications and quality standards.
• Travel Requirement:
• Domestic and international travel as necessary to provide technical support and commissioning assistance.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
• Experience in fossil fuel steam generator systems, particularly in thermal engineering, is essential.
• Familiarity with Utility Boiler Thermal Engineering and exposure to CE/Babcock design is preferred.
• Professional Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of national and international design codes, including experience in thermal engineering for large-scale power generation projects.
• Core Competencies:
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide junior engineers and collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency in project management, schedule adherence, and maintaining technical quality throughout the project lifecycle.
