Job Description:
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in designing Tire Building Machines (TBM). The ideal candidate will be proficient in engineering design calculations, CAD modeling, and tools like FEA and FMEA, with a good understanding of industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Design & Project Handling:
- Lead the mechanical design process for multiple projects.
- Ensure design precision and functionality in Tire Building Machines.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Collaborate with team members for knowledge sharing.
- Mentor and lead the team in achieving project goals.
- Machine Risk Assessments & Safety Standards:
- Perform risk assessments and adhere to safety regulations during design and development.
- Support Manufacturing & Procurement:
- Provide support for the manufacturing process and coordinate with the procurement team.
- Inspection & Customer Interaction:
- Oversee machine inspections and maintain direct communication with customers.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical or related fields.
- Experience: 3–8 years in mechanical design, preferably with expertise in Tire Building Machines.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of engineering design principles and calculations.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling tools, FEA, and FMEA.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial components.
- Business Understanding:
- Awareness of trends in the tire industry, market growth, and customer demands.
- Other Competencies:
- Full-level proficiency in project handling, safety compliance, and customer interface.
- Supporting knowledge in manufacturing processes and purchase management.
