Job Responsibilities
You will be creating and maintaining medium-complex part/assembly layout and manufacturing drawings of Lam products. Collaborate with product development engineers in implementing concept design and design changes. Propose OEM parts to aid design and assist the product development engineers in performing functional tests. You need to consult/advise suppliers during product design to translate detailed engineering requirements into specifications, and collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams for problem-solving and design validation. Accountable for delivering on time with quality as part of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as consistent improvement in efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in the design of medium complex sheet metal enclosure, machined components, structure, and release of manufacturing drawings with optimal GD&T.
- Basic/Relevant experience in the design/ packaging of simple/medium complex Electromechanical subsystems or equivalent subsystems.
- Selection of OEM components based on first principles (Ex: Mechanical hardware /fasteners and OEM components)
- Basic Thermal hand calculations and structural simulations (Conduction, Convection, Heat dissipation, and increase in temperature) to validate the design or facilitate the selection of heat sinks, Cooling systems like Fans, etc
- Proficient in 3D Modelling, Assembly, and Detailing using NX or Creo
- Developed detailed design applying Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles and exposure to DFMEA,
- Executed Engineering Change Management
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of should costing or value engineering methodologies is an added advantage
- Knowledge of structural analysis, thermal management of enclosure/assembly
- Knowledge on sheet metal manufacturing
- Exposure to Semi-conductor industry related Engineering activities
