Position – Hardware Designer

Job description

• Concept design, OEM Components selection, and development of mechanical parts and assemblies with minimal guidance.
• Create/ Modify CAD models and Understand the impact of top-level structure
• Create and modify engineering drawings bill of materials using Engineering Change Management process
• Interacts with India and US-based Mechanical Engineering Managers of different Lam Product Groups regarding Design activities
• Provide immediate response and timely resolution to design-related production issues during the build process
• Support Participate in Design review to get buy-in from all cross-functional teams
• Investigate and Implement corrective actions for medium/complex Problem Reports

Qualification & Skills

• Years of experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with B.E/B.Tech or 8 years for Diploma
• Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing) or Diploma from NTTF/GTTC
• Design of sheet metal parts, machine components, etc.
• Design and Selection of OEM Mechanical Component? PEMs, Weld Fittings, other fasteners, etc.
• Knowledge in the Manufacturing process? Sheetmetal Designs, Machining, and Welding, etc
• Knowledge in ANSI/ASME standards and tolerance stack-up Analysis
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in 3D Modelling, Assembly, and Detailing using Creo (Pro-E) or any CAD packages.
• Proficient in PLM PDM Software (Preferred Teamcenter and SAP)
• Knowledge in Engineering Change Management Process
• Experience in various fabrication methods (Sheetmetal Machining)
• Knowledge on Semiconductor equipment and its subsystems
• Knowledge of DFX
• Experience in using AutoCAD for schematic diagrams (PIDs)
