Position – Engineering Intern 1

Job description

You are:

A B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering with a minimum 65% aggregate
Graduating in 2024 without any backlogs

Your typical day:

Interface with Manufacturing teams to address issues pertaining to assembly sequence, fixtures, and product design
Modify mechanical engineering drawings/specifications of moderate scope under general supervision with Engineering Changer Requests
Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence, and processes in the manufacturing of sub-assemblies/final assemblies
Perform virtual build and create a sequence of assembly
Participate actively in idea-generation forums and contribute to innovative solutions
Understand Lam products and its manufacturing process

You need to know:

Application of Manufacturing Technology, Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines to address manufacturing challenges
Knowledge of various materials and their applications
Knowledge of machining, welding, molding, sheet-metal fabrication & casting processes
Fundamental data analytics and statistical skills

Nice to know:

Hands-on projects that include prototyping and assembly
Advanced manufacturing methods – Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing, Water jet machining, Ceramic Manufacturing
Experience with 3D Modelling and assembly using any CAD package
Use of simulation tools such as Ansys, Nastran, Creo Simulate etc.
