Job description

Job Title – CAD / CAM Engineer

The CAD / CAM Engineer is responsible for planning and programming the machine as per the customer’s requirement. He will be working with the provided different software packages and integrated systems available allowing him to be most productive.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of CAD / CAM experience in a manufacturing environment and is able to read from AUTOCAD drawings and determine the best methods for setting up and processing a part.

  • Theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge in computer systems, analysis, programming, and engineering.

What will you be doing?

Job Responsibilities
  • Create necessary programs and files for machines based on order data and schedule (e.g. characteristics) given by the Production planner.
  • Share necessary programs and files with the production team to be executed at 1st operations processing machines.
  • In charge of developing and maintaining the procedures that automatically generate the programs for automatic/manual machines.
  • Responsible for machine load balancing & Sheet utilization in nesting layout.
  • Responsible for effective utilization of end bits and final scrap clearance of non-usable end bits from the shop floor.
  • Responsible for reporting non-conformances to the relevant party and fixing an issue according to the instructions.
  • Participating & developing new software development activities for CAD/CAM processes to ease production.
  • Provide Engineering and Management information that affects sheet metal utilization/quality/schedule.
