Position: Executive – Fixture Design
Key Responsibilities:
- Fixture Design:
- Design automatic and manual fixtures for HMC (Horizontal Machining Center) and VMC (Vertical Machining Center).
- Develop Cradle-type and Tombstone-type fixtures for 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler engine components.
- Hydraulic & Pneumatic Circuits:
- Understand and apply hydraulic and pneumatic circuits in designs.
- Technical Documentation:
- Create manufacturing drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), assembly drawings, and casting drawings.
- GD&T & Tooling Layouts:
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
- Develop tooling layouts with a strong understanding of cutting tools.
- Fixture Design Fundamentals:
- Apply fixture design principles and perform necessary calculations for selecting bought-out parts.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work flexibly online and offline, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers and suppliers, requiring travel as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- BE in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Tool and Die Making (from GTTC preferred).
- Software Proficiency:
- Skilled in SolidWorks 3D design software.
- Skilled in AutoCAD for technical drawings.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in fixture design.
- Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of GD&T, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and cutting tools.
- Strong foundation in fixture design fundamentals and ability to perform technical calculations.
- Flexible attitude, good communication skills, and willingness to travel.
