Job description
CAD Designer-HVAC
What you will do
Works in collaboration with other project team members to produce high quality drawings and 3D models. Create 2D drawings and 3D CAD files according to company standards. Must understand the mechanical and structural design requirement for mechanical designing for new product development.
This position requires the ability to work under mechanical design engineer and execute the 3D & 2D design work with first time right quality as per the company standards.
How you will do it
- Create 2D drawings and 3D CAD Solid & Sheet metal modelling according to company standards.
- Part and large assembly design creation according to company standards and CAD guidelines.
- Bill of Material creation from the assembly model developed
- Use company part libraries, standard design concepts and design guidelines for products. Windchill / Vault or any PLM experience is preferred.
- Verify Bill of Materials and load engineering data SAP or any ERP tools.
- Proficiency in 2D / 3D AutoCAD Release 10 through 2016, Creo 4.0
- Drafting and detailing of sheet metal and solid parts as per the engineering standards.
- Prepare fabrication drawings, modifications and commercial specification drawings in compliance with company’s CAD standards.
- Preferred GD&T working knowledge
- Knowledge in standardizing the CAD models.
- Best knowledge on Sheet metal industry and standards
What we look for
- BE/B.Tech- Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in Mechanical system design and development in CAD projects – Sheet metal / Piping / Assembly modeling
- Complete assigned tasks within the defined time and schedule
- Ensure adoption of organization processes and templates for assigned projects
- Apply matured project management practices and standards for assigned projects
- Create project deliverables with high-quality standards
Preferred
- Design and Optimization of Mechanical Components for Plants. The design includes Sheet Metal parts, Piping, Assembly & Automation.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing & fabrication processes as per the industry standards
- Preferred to have the best knowledge in the basics of Air conditioning and Thermal engineering
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
