Job Description

  • Provide technical support during design enhancement discussions with the Applications team.
  • Review project specifications, datasheets, and bid documents to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Assist in preparing techno-commercial project proposals for various John Crane products.
  • Perform quality checks on redrawn or legacy conversion drawings.
  • Review tender documentation to identify missing information and maintain the work ledger.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, general arrangements, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Conduct quality self-checks for quotations, general arrangement, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Utilize technical software tools like Solid Edge for both 2D and 3D techniques.
  • Process Global Change Notifications as required.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and utilize engineering tools.
  • Supported the execution of projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain records in line with IMS requirements.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met in project-specific proposals and designs.
  • Maintain a “First Time Right” culture throughout Drawing Office activities.
  • Perform duties as directed by the Senior Supervisor to support John Crane business objectives.
  • Foster adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy in quotations, general arrangement, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Support order execution activities by maintaining high standards of record-keeping.
  • Achieve targets in alignment with business objectives and maintain customer service focus.
  • Provide technical support during design discussions.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, drawings, and project proposals.
  • Perform quality checks on drawings and documentation.
  • Use Solid Edge for 2D/3D modeling and engineering calculations.
  • Maintain records and process Global Change Notifications.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and IMS requirements.
  • Support business objectives and assist in order execution.
Qualifications
  • First-time right culture for drawings and proposals.
  • Timely delivery of quotations and project drawings.
  • Accuracy in technical support and quality checks.
  • Effective record maintenance per IMS standards.
  • Experience: Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/ Chemical/ Instrumentation/ Metallurgy/ Mechatronics/ Production Technology) with a minimum of 70%.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in 2D/3D modeling using Solid Edge, with knowledge of Fits, Tolerances, GD&T symbols, and engineering tools.
  • People Skills: Strong team player with excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities, and a customer service-oriented mindset.
