Job & Division Summary:
Engineering and design support of Industrial equipment such as compressors/vacuum pumps/blowers, and subsystems.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include understanding project scope, design & selection of project-specific equipment/components, Creation and PLM release of 3D parts/assemblies, 2D drawings, and technical documentation as per Ingersoll-Rand standards.
Work with project partners located in Europe to understand project requirements and execute with the highest standards, on-time Delivery, and first-pass yield.
Industry Experience: Experience in Process Industries, oil & gas, chemical, power plant, or other similar industries as an order engineer, design engineer, project engineer, or similar roles related to Blowers, fans, pumps, turbines, generators, or any rotating equipment.
Mandatory Skills
- 4+ Years of Hands-on experience in General Arrangement Drawing (GAD) and engineering BOM release using PLM, large assembly drawings, isometric drawings, data sheets, and P&ID
- Experience in interpreting the Scope of Work and creating detailed project planning activities – Min 2+ years of hands-on experience.
- 3+ years of CAD experience in Creo and PLM tools, Windchill/SAP is a must.
- 2+ years of experience in Mechanical seals, fitment checks, bearing selection, types of fits, and material selection.
Desired skills:
- Ability to multitask and communicate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of standards such as API 619, ASME B16.5, Sec 8, Div 1& 2 is desirable.
- CAD Software skills on Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Ability to create surface models for castings, create manufacturing drawings by assigning GD&T and knowledge of tolerance stack up analysis, surface finish, and Welding procedures are desirable.
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 4+ Years of Relevant experience after graduation.
