Role & responsibilities
The Engineer is responsible for designing/development and detailing of the associated Mechanical and Pump engineering for Instrumentation.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop control systems and instruments
- Design and implement ways to measure variables such as temperature, pressure, and flow
- Coordinate with production team to design and develop control systems
- Conduct research to find out the best possible way to manufacture a particular product
- Manage operations involved in the production of instruments
- Test, troubleshoot, and adjust instrumentation systems
- Monitor and improve the performance of control systems and machinery
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Prepare and maintain instrument specifications and manuals
- Plan and execute periodic maintenance and calibration of instruments
- Work with project engineers to ensure instruments comply with project specifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 2 To 4 years of experience in API 610 Centrifugal pump engineering.
- Knowledge of Pumps, Electric Motors, Mechanical Seals, Seal Systems, Coupling, Valve , JB etc
- Strong CAD skills (in Part modeling, Drafting, and Assembly) in Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD should be able to work independently CFD Tools would be an added advantage.
- Experienced in issuing BOM, RFQ, drawings, engineering documentations
- Ability to review technical specifications,and engineering standards and produce associated design documentation
- Thorough knowledge of industry specifications such as API 610 / API 682 / ASTM codes etc and able to interpret and apply as required.
- knowledge of manufacturing processes, machine design, fluid mechanics, metallurgy etc
- Good spoken and written English skills, ability to make concise communication with clients
- Strong interpersonal skills for communicating thoughts and ideas.
- Team working ability and an attitude of collaboration, mentoring and flexibility.
- Ability to prioritize the tasks, and ownership of assigned projects
Education and Experience
- BE in Mechanical Engineering in regular full-time course from recognized institute and university.
- 2 To 4 years of core engineering of centrifugal pumps for oil and gas domain experience.
- Working Knowledge of 3D/2D design software’s (AutoCAD,Autodesk Inventor) any other engineering software / applications would be an added advantage eg. CFD Tools
