Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

Role Overview: Responsible for designing HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and medical gas systems for various buildings. This includes equipment selection, specification editing, shop drawing reviews, control sequence development, energy modeling, and LEED documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design HVAC systems, including load calculation, ductwork, and piping layout.
  • Design plumbing systems (domestic, sanitary-vent, storm) for buildings.
  • Design fire protection systems for various buildings.
  • Design medical gas systems for healthcare projects.
  • Select appropriate equipment for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and medical gas systems.
  • Edit specifications and review shop drawings.
  • Develop and write control sequences along with the associated diagrams.
  • Conduct energy modeling and document for LEED certification.
Skills Required:
  • Must have cleared all subjects in one attempt.
  • Proficient in English communication.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fundamental engineering concepts.
Added Advantage:
  • Experience in HVAC load calculation and duct design.
  • Knowledge of riser diagrams and valves.
  • Basic knowledge of other disciplines such as electrical (power, lighting, and fire alarm), structure, and technology.
  • Proficiency in HVAC software like Trace 700.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit is beneficial.
Education Qualification:
  • BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering – Pursuing/Completed is not eligible).
