Job description
Role
Sourcing of Engineering Materials, SS pipes, plates, instruments, compressors
Responsibilities
- Source search, identification, and selection
- RFP, RFQ, Quote, quote comparison, and evaluation
- Price negotiation and finalization
- Contracts with vendors/ external providers
- New product development with the vendor
- Technical discussions on drawings, processes, and part development with vendors, and internal design teams
- Supplier Audits
- Quality inspection/ control/ assurance of sourced part / service
- Vendor Risk management
- Procurement planning and schedules to vendors
- Delivery tracking: Plan vs actual
- Timely servicing of customer requirements
- Adherence to SOPs and guidelines
Education & Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering Mechanical having equivalent technical manufacturing environment with 8-11 yrs of experience
- Preferred Industry background – EPC company in Process Field
Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to multi-task, and adjust priorities
- Ability to manage customers, suppliers, and internal functional groups (as necessary)
- Good communication skills, sensible, team leader
- Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems & Microsoft Office
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain engineering operations and best practices
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
