Role Description
- The Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer will be for responsible for performing the CFD analysis of low-pressure turbine stages. The individual will perform the airfoil, stage optimization for aerodynamic efficiency at design and off-design conditions. The aerodynamic test rig design, developing test plan and test data reduction. The individual will mentor the team members in performing the analysis, results interpretation and developing standard analysis practices.
Educational Qualification and relevance experience
- Bachelor/Masters degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 9 to 14 years of relevant experience in performing aircraft gas turbine engine turbine CFD analysis using CFX solver
- Sound knowledge in Low-Pressure Turbine CFD processes
- Proficient in pre/post-processing techniques of turbine stage analysis
- Strong knowledge in Turbine Aerodynamics and performance map
- Experience in low-pressure turbine testing and test data reduction
- Proficient in optimization tools like HEEDS
- Strong domain knowledge of aircraft propulsion engines
- Should have sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Programming experience in MATLAB and C
- Must be an innovative and integrative thinker, quick to visualize solutions and generate ideas
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate and influence the technology decisions
- Ability to work with teams at multiple locations and fosters teamwork
