Job Title : Mechanical Design Engineer I

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Understanding part specification-materials-chemistry relation and perform compliance assessments for Products and components
• Support management of compliance due to regulatory changes on legacy products and materials used in the business
• Responsible for the vaulting, management and control of compliance data once received using Honeywell standard tools
• Able to provide overview of the compliance status of materials used within the business
• Integrate with and support the SBG Product Stewardship Compliance MOS

Basic Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Science (e.g. Chemistry, Environmental Science or any Science Discipline) or Engineering Degree
• Good understanding on material chemical composition sources such as Safety data sheets (SDS)
• Make decisions based on detailed analysis, presenting recommendation to team and driving actions to improve compliance details
• Computer proficiency including MS Office applications and ability to manage and manipulate data in spreadsheets and other platforms

Additional Skills:

• Ability to work in an ever-changing environment and drive to continuously improve work practices
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals of all disciplines and levels
• Ability to think strategically and critically analyze details
• Proactive to find out actions needed for continuous improvement
• Strong written and oral communication skills
