The Mechanical Design Engineer participates in a cross-functional team across the business and is accountable for the accomplishment of all assigned projects.
Your responsibilities
- An advantage would be having knowledge of parametric modelling and CAD automation.
- exposure to the Windchill product lifecycle management (PLM)/product data management (PDM) tool
- understanding of Design for Assembly and Manufacturing (DFAM), Tolerance Stack up Analysis, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- while creating production and assembly designs, evaluates, chooses, and puts those techniques and processes into practise.
- Creating a bill of materials, manufacturing, and assembly drawings.
- As part of the role, you’ll successfully communicate and work with engineering teams throughout the world as well as suppliers and product owners.
Your background
- B.E. (Mechanical)
- 1-2 yrs exp working in the engineering of electrical products such as transformers, Insulators, Bushings
