Mission Statement

The CAD Automation Engineer will develop and implement automated CAD workflows, improve design efficiency, and maintain comprehensive documentation while collaborating with global and local teams to enhance CAD systems.

Key Responsibilities

• CAD Automation: Design and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline CAD workflows and enhance productivity.
• Development & Maintenance: Create automated solutions for design, enhance local design tools, and maintain interfaces.
• Collaboration: Work with global teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions align with global standards.
• Integration & Support:
  • Work with software developers to integrate CAD automation tools with other engineering systems.
  • Support migration projects from legacy systems to Windchill PLM.
• Analysis & Troubleshooting: Evaluate workflows for improvement opportunities, validate automation solutions, and resolve technical issues.
• Documentation & Training: Maintain detailed records and provide training for developed solutions.
• Global Engagement: Travel to supported locations to collect requirements and validate solutions.

Your Background

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 3-6 years in CAD automation, preferably in the transformer or similar industries.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling tools like Creo Parametric.
  • Expertise in CAD automation and Pro-Program development.
  • Knowledge of Sigmaxim SmartAssembly (preferred).
  • Experience with Windchill PLM and BoM/workflow management.
  • Familiarity with international standards (ISO, ANSI, ASME).
  • Programming skills for automation tasks.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities across diverse regions and cultures.
  • Analytical mindset with data analysis expertise.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
