Role

As the Plant SQA Category Engineer Prop. you will report to the Supplier Quality Lead. The Purpose of your job is to ensure adherence to quality standards & system of proprietary (mechanical & electrical) components by evaluating & improving product & process quality at the supplier end to ensure overall customer satisfaction.

A purpose-driven role for you

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Ensure inspection of incoming parts as per plan (BOP, Spare parts, etc.)
2. MIS/Report generation
3. Ensure closure of issues/deviations
4. Ensure Quality Sustenance & Improve Existing suppliers/ components through
5. Audits/QAVs and gap closure
   • warranty analysis
   • benchmarking of Best Practices to deploy horizontally
6. Ensure Product, Process and system approval, and establishment for smooth and trouble-free development within the stipulated time during New Model development.

A Day in the Life

On a day-to-day basis, you will be

• Coordinating with Internal and External stakeholders such as SS&SC, Manufacturing Quality, and Market Quality team for Supplier performance/part quality improvement, Part
• Development and Customer Issue Resolution.
• Developing a culture of zero defect at supplier end – lack of competence, and getting the Inspection Process Implemented through Team Efforts.

Academic Qualification & Experience

B.Tech in Engineering 3-4 Yrs of Experience

Technical Skills/Knowledge

1. Product, process & systems knowledge (especially mechanical, electrical & electronic proprietary parts)
