QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- B. E/ B. Tech with a minimum of 1 year to a maximum of 3 years of experience in the relevant domain.
- Basic knowledge in the fundamentals of mechanical engineering
- Basic understanding of Finite Element Analysis
- Desirable knowledge in FEM simulation tools
- Experience in FE simulation Software’s (Hypermesh, Hyper View, Abaqus).
- Fundamental understanding of Strength of materials, Vibration, design, and manufacturing engineering.
- Good understanding of any commercial FEM solvers
- To be proficient in the MS Office applications
- Written and spoken English is mandatory
TASKS:
A). Testing, analyzing, and selecting product-based simulation systems and methodologies:
- Testing new software systems for product development and simulation subject to Hella-specific requirements.
- Participating in the analysis and evaluation of new software systems subject to the existing system landscape as well as other technical and economic aspects.
- Consultation of product lines in the optimization of system and device definition based on the know-how in the area of simulation models and model-based function development; participating in the provisioning of relevant standardized simulation tools.
- Adapting and optimizing existing simulation tools based on previous results, if necessary in collaboration with software manufacturers.
B). Planning and implementing R&D simulations:
- The early stimulation of simulation and calculation methods in cooperation with developers and central offices in order to guarantee efficient use during component design in terms of both technical and economical aspects
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating simulations with the aim of proving design feasibility, testing, and realizing component concepts and shortening development processes; proving and covering the physical quality requirements of materials with regard to mechanical and thermal concerns.
- Idealizing the design in a model that can be described as physically / mathematically and developing an efficient development strategy.
- Analyzing, documenting, and presenting the calculation results; recognizing weak points as well as preparing possible solutions while considering the design and economic aspects.
- Verifying the calculation models in cooperation with the test engineers in order to ensure the reliability of the simulation results.
- Estimating the testing effort and creating quotations.
- Performing or initiating compatibility tests on components subject to existing technologies and technologies to be developed; evaluating the test data and interpreting the results subject to simulation results.
- Performing other tasks related to this position (including examining and evaluating suggestions for improvement, as well as complying with industrial safety and environmental protection measures pertaining to the scope of duties).
