Job description
- Provide training to Hasbro vendors and suppliers on understanding of international standards and regulations on toys
- Offer support to Hasbro vendors and suppliers on developing the testing capabilities in their internal labs according to Hasbro specifications
- Monitor and align testing procedures, ensure correct interpretation of standards / regulations among Hasbro approved laboratories
- Collaborate among internal teams, vendors, suppliers and laboratories regarding testing issues and support ad-hoc investigations for test results or failures
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor or higher degree in Quality Management, Chemistry, Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or related subjects
- Min. 3 years of working experiences in consumer product testing and/or quality assurance industry
- Knowledge in international regulations and testing standards on toys
- Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and respective auditor certifications/training would be an advantage
- Attention to details, independent with strong problem-solving and coaching skills
- Good command of English

- Occasionally, he/she will be required to make operational decisions to ensure the daily operation is efficient and effective

Job description
- Develop mechanical or basic electronic toy blasters.
- Review engineering pilot samples (breadboards, models, and electronic components) for function, production aesthetics, and quality issues. Debug issues in these areas in order to produce a product that meets the product test plan and design / marketing goals for the item.
- Develop bill of material (BOM), analyse product cost data throughout the development cycle in order to meet Marketing’s financial goals. Propose mechanical designs and electronic solutions. Provide cost-feature trade-off directions.
- Review and approve Tool Plan as per capacity requirements. Initiate Tooling Appropriation workflow with support from development partners.
- Review and approve the on-product markings (engravings, printing, labels), Material Authorization Requests (MAR), Green Tag samples. Communicate running change process.
- Initiate Patent Clearance Workflow to ensure product is not violating existing patents or in cases support filing process.
- Lead communication with internal / external partners on all active projects – status, issues, and development options to the Team.
- Work closely with model makers to develop engineering prototypes and tool makers to build tools.
- Evaluate engineering pilot samples and provide modification directions.
- Documentation: Complete product specification packages and detailed engineering documentation to communicate with stakeholders.
- On-site review on initial production line setup for manufacturing vendors
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 4 years of work experience in product engineering, ideally in the toy and entertainment industry, is preferable.
- A solid individual contributor in his/her professional field
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in a toy or consumer durable industry and having Injection Molding (Plastic Products) Design and related processes.
- Mechanism design, cost estimation, tool design, toy manufacturing processes, toy regulations, and standards.
- Design for manufacturing (DFM) and automation
- Working knowledge in CAD/CAE (Pro/E, Solidworks) is a must.
- Handling products with spray and tempo decorations, and plastic blisters for retainable packaging.
- Basic skills in tool building & toy manufacturing processes
- Basic in design for manufacturing and automation

- Motorized mechanism design (Selection of the motor, gear trains, clutch, linkage, choice of materials)
