Job Description Summary

Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Accountable for the quality of my own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step-by-step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Job Description

Perform the daily operations of cells to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Impacts departmental operations and is responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Zero Near miss, first aid and injury.
  • COQ improvement.
  • Zero customer escaping defects.
  • Cost reduction through process, cycle time & consumable optimization.
  • Production planning, control and execution based on MRD.
  • Tracking and on-time delivery of NPI.
  • Daily plan Vs actual monitoring and action plan to mitigate misses.
  • Production ramp-up as per customer requirements.
  • Zero delinquency.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional team to develop a production plan and determine flow requirements.
  • Mentor HPT and further develop HPT culture.
  • Organize training to HPT team members.
  • Help team to resolve technical issues.
  • Use and implementation of lean and digital tools to drive predictable outcomes with analytics.
  • Use of six -sigma tools to drive solutions.
  • Lifting tools and tackles should be in good condition and always have calibration tag.
  • Develop multi-skill and maximum utilization of machine and people.
  • Should be able to work in cross-function team to meet business goals.
  • Required documentation and maintaining it updated.
  • 100% vouchering adherence.
  • 100% load & drop adherence.
  • 100% accuracy in WIP inventory.
  • Hands-on handling complex, low volume and high mix production.
  • Hands-on handling 300+ people on shop.
  • Plan-A, Plan-B preparation.
  • Work in 3 shifts only no general sh

Qualifications/Requirements::

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed college /university
  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ hands-on experience in Handling operations in Aviation.
  • Sound knowledge of Planning and execution.
  • Understanding of AS 9100 and S-1000 Quality Standard
  • Experience in Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing,g and value stream mapping will be an added advantage
